Dear Governor Newsom,

I’m reaching out as a patient who relies heavily on my local independent pharmacy. Since switching from a large chain pharmacy, I’ve experienced a level of care that has been life changing. My pharmacists know me by name, keep track of my health needs, and always ensure I’m on the right medication. This kind of personalized care wasn’t something I ever received at the chain pharmacy, where mistakes were common, and I felt overlooked.

Now, I’m worried that my pharmacy might have to close because of unfair practices by Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). These practices seem to be designed to push out the smaller pharmacies that provide the kind of care I’ve come to rely on.

SB 966 would help protect my pharmacy from these practices, and I’m asking for your support of community pharmacies and patients by signing SB 966 (Wiener). It would mean a lot to me and to others who depend on their local pharmacies for essential care. Thank you for your support.
